Phytopathology is the study of plant diseases caused by pathogens (infectious organisms) and environmental conditions (physiological factors). It is important that the agents responsible for these diseases, especially bacteria and fungi are identified and differentiated for its control. Plant pathogens vary in their cultural characteristics and culture media requirements; hence it is very
important to satisfy these specific nutritional requirements in order to achieve the expected outputs.

With this objective, HiMedia have developed a broad range of phytopathological media catering the growth requirements of a wide variety of plant pathogens. These ranges of media are being manufactured & maintained under strict quality norms at our production facility at Mumbai.
